Post Youth Worker (Fixed-term contract until 31st March 2028, with the possibility of extension thereafter, subject to funding).

Salary Scale – Grade FF3, points 1-3, £26,417 – £27,321 per annum. 

Hours of Work – 25 hrs per week to be worked Monday – Friday.  Please note that some evening work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays is a requirement of the role. There is also the potential for the hours to increase to full-time at a later date, subject to funding.

Families First has been proudly embedded in the local community since 2001. We exist to improve the lives of children and young people aged 5-16 years, and their families across North East Fife by providing practical help, emotional support, and life-changing opportunities. Through our person-centered and trauma informed support services, we walk alongside families facing challenges and adversities; helping them thrive.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Worker to join our team; helping to make a positive difference in the lives of children and young people. In addition to a rewarding role, the successful candidate will receive

  • An annual leave allowance of 37 days pro rata, inclusive of public holidays.
  • Additional long service leave, which is awarded after 7, 14 and 21 years’ service.
  • Pension Scheme enrolment with a 5% employer contribution.
  • External supervision offered to support you in your role.
