As a trustee, you will be a member of the board of directors providing a governance role to Families First ensuring the organisation has a strategic vision and acts within the legal framework
As a trustee, you will have a genuine concern for the wellbeing of others and will use your skills to indirectly support vulnerable people. Some of our trustees have a dedicated role on the board such as chairperson, business management, or personnel. Others will contribute their specific expertise in areas such as children’s work.
Key Tasks
Trustees work to ensure that Families First complies with the requirements of the law in relation to Companies House, and in particular the Office of Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) regulations.
Trustees work to liaise with other charitable sector agencies, local authorities, UK or Scottish Government departments and agencies and other organisations to further Families First's objectives
Trustees must show a commitment to Families First St Andrews and their objectives, as well as a willingness to devote time and effort to help us with our strategic vision for the future of Families First St Andrews.
There are a wide range of skills, expertise and experience which are useful to support Families First as an organisation and the board to carry out their duties, so we would love you on board!
